Corporate Sponsorship
With a reach of more than 50,000 Nova Scotians through 50+ concerts and numerous community education and outreach programs, Symphony Nova Scotia’s presence in the community is second to none. Our patrons are decision makers and community influencers and respect our sponsors with loyalty and positive word-of-mouth.
Not only are Symphony Nova Scotia’s corporate partners dedicated to investing in their community through the performing arts, but they also know that investing where their employees and customers work and live makes good business sense. We hope to work together with you to make 2012/2013 a banner year for arts and business in Nova Scotia!

Why partner with Symphony Nova Scotia?
A sponsorship with Symphony Nova Scotia is not simply a charitable gift. It is an investment in an educational, musical, and cultural resource for the entire province. When arts organizations thrive, Halifax becomes all the more attractive as a home for new businesses. Strong arts organizations enhance the quality of life for employees and indicate the health of the local economy.
“Cities that attract, embrace, and encourage creativity are also
the centers of economic prosperity.”
- Richard Florida, Author, Rise of the Creative Class
An investment in Symphony Nova Scotia is also a significant contribution to local economy. Not only does the orchestra itself generate full-time jobs and spend money in the community on goods and services, but our audience spends locally. Our economic impact is considerable with a direct spend of almost $3,000,000 added to the community every year. What's more, we keep cultural entertainment dollars in the community, directly and indirectly supporting our hotels and restaurants, attracting tourists and skilled workers, and improving Halifax’s image as a culturally diverse and enticing city in which to visit, work, and live.
Concert sponsorship allows companies to show themselves as supportive corporate citizens and provides an excellent opportunity to make products and services visible to an affluent segment of the community. The Symphony makes sure to work closely with every sponsor to help maximize the value of the sponsorship.
