Musical Chairs

One of our most popular fundraising programs, Musical Chairs is a unique opportunity for individuals to connect with members of Symphony Nova Scotia.

In 1998, the program as we know it today began with individuals and businesses supporting just 13 Chairs. By 2009/10, support has increased to include 69 sponsors of 88 Chairs held by our talented musicians, artistic, and production staff, and last year alone raised $155,000 for the Symphony!

The funds raised through this program represent almost half of the support received from individuals and just over a quarter of all donations and sponsorships received annually. Contributions to the Musical Chairs Program are critically important to keeping classical music alive and well in Nova Scotia.

Becoming a Musical Chairs Sponsor is about more than a financial commitment to Symphony Nova Scotia. This program will provide you with an important link with our musicians, artistic, and production staff with opportunities to meet with one another and talk about a common love: music.

Please contact Miranda at 421.1300 ext. 230 or patronrelations@symphonyns.ca to obtain a list of Chairs currently available for sponsorship, starting at $1,200 per season.
