Kirsty Money, violin
Violinist Kirsty Money began her musical studies at six while living in Victoria, BC and continued on to McGill, the University of Western Ontario, and the U.K. She played with Les Violons du Roy, L’orchestre Baroque de Montreal, Orchestra London, the Windsor Symphony, and the Montreal Chamber Orchestra before joining Symphony Nova Scotia in 2000.
Kirsty loves Baroque music, playing in chamber groups and improvising. When she’s not on stage with Symphony Nova Scotia, you might find her performing with the baroque ensemble Tempest, jamming Janice Jackson’s band Tango Extasis, or working with singer/songwriter Asif Ilyas of MIR. Kirsty is thrilled with the talent and dedication of the musicians of the Maritimes and finds that the lively music scene truly adds to the vibrancy of Halifax.
